• Once you collect the form, submit it along with these documents to the nearest Customer Care Center:
  • One passport-size photograph
  • Ownership or occupation proof of the proposed premises like Passport, Voter ID, Rent Bill, Telephone Bill, or Tax Receipt from Panchayat/Municipality, etc.
• All documents will be verified by the Customer Care Center, and a Quotation for Service Connection Charge and Security Deposit will be provided.
• Make sure to deposit the Service Connection Charge and Security Deposit at the Customer Care Center during cash hours within 90 days of getting the quotation.
• A consumer can also pay the service connection charge and security deposit online using the WBSEDCL website or Mobile App.

Technical Feasibility

• After you pay the quotation amount, an authorized representative of WBSEDCL will inspect your premises within three days to check:
• If any existing connection is live or disconnected? If it exists, then they will ascertain:
  • Is the new premises physically separate from the old one along with its electrical wiring?
  • Is there any outstanding dues against the old connection?
• If the existing system can meet the required demand loads?
• If any maintenance work is needed on the existing electrical system?
• If there are any Way Leave issues?
• If the intending consumer has completed their part including readiness of premises, installation of the main switch, earthing, and wiring, etc.

If any issues are found, they will be communicated to you promptly.

Effecting Service Connection

Once all necessary formalities are completed by the prospective consumer, WBSEDCL will carry out the service connection work within seven days.
