Eligibility Conditions for Financial Assistance
- This scheme is designed for currently registered beneficiaries of the Board and their family members. If a member ceases to be registered due to reaching 60 years of age or for any other reason, they will not be eligible for benefits under this scheme.
- In the unfortunate event of the death of a registered worker or a family member, as defined by rule 2(t) of the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers (RECS) Rules 2008—which encompasses the worker’s spouse, minor sons, unmarried daughters, and dependent parents—an application for this assistance must be submitted by the deceased’s nominee to the Assistant Labour Commissioner or Labour-cum-Conciliation officer. This application should include the original death certificate and proof of the deceased’s regular membership in the Board.
- The beneficiary must consistently deposit their contributions.
- As with other welfare schemes, applications under this scheme will be checked by a committee formed at the Sub Divisional Level. Once approved by the Deputy Commissioner, the concerned officer will request the amount from the Board and disburse it to the applicant.
