Steps to Obtain a New LT Connection

The applicant should reach out to the Revenue Accountant (RA) at the sub-divisional office to get an application and agreement form or can download it in PDF format using the link below.
Submit the A&A form in duplicate.
Once filled in, the application and agreement form should be given to the Consumer Clerk (CC) / (RA) for further action.
The RA will inform the applicant about the amount that needs to be deposited with the cashier.
Upon receiving the application processing charges, the cashier will assign a Registration No. The Application No. will be provided after the security amount is deposited and the agreement is finalized.
The applicant must keep the original receipt(s) safe and leave the case file with the cashier.
A Demand Notice will be issued as per clause 3.7 of the Electricity Supply Code Regulations 2010 notified by JERC.
The licensee may request the original documents from the applicant for verification purposes, if necessary.
An agreement in the prescribed format must be signed on a Rs 5/- stamp paper by the applicant to obtain a new connection or change agreed parameters like contract demand. For single-phase domestic and non-domestic consumers, the application form will be considered as an agreement.
The applicant must provide a test report issued by a licensed electrical wiring contractor after installation, detailing the load/machinery.
Once the R-APDRP Scheme is implemented, options for “receiving copies of bills/payment reminders/important messages via email/sms” will be available.
If a name change is requested, the applicant should submit an undertaking regarding payment of any outstanding amounts, if applicable, for the electricity connection in question.
