Annusuchit Jati Chhattra Ucch Shiksha Protsahan Yojana Form Haryana - Summary
In order to motivate parents of SC girls and to curb the high drop-out rates after the 10+2 examination, the “Annusuchit Jati Chhattra Ucch Shiksha Protsahan Yojana” has been launched by the department since the year 2009-10. This initiative aims to decrease the adverse female ratio by providing scholarships ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 14,000 per annum to SC girls studying in science, commerce, and professional streams.
Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply?
- The applicant must be a resident of Haryana and belong to a scheduled caste.
- The annual income of parents or guardians should be between Rs 1.00 lakh and Rs 2.40 lakhs.
- Students who have not received benefits from other schemes are eligible to apply.
Application Process
- Obtain the application form from DWO/TWO or download it from the official department website.
- Submit the duly filled application along with required documents to the concerned institution.
Applications for scholarships are invited from Scheduled Caste girl students enrolled in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Science, Commerce, and Professional streams at private aided/unaided institutions as well as government colleges and universities not covered under state plan schemes initiated by the Higher Education/Technical Education Departments. The primary goal of the “Annusuchit Jati Chhattra Ucch Shiksha Protsahan Yojna” is to prevent the drop-out of Scheduled Caste girl students and to encourage them to pursue higher education after completing their 10+2 studies, thus bridging the gap of the adverse female sex ratio.
