Eligibility Conditions for Beneficiaries

• Any individual above 18 years old.
• There is no income limit for getting assistance for projects set up under PMEGP.
• For projects costing more than Rs. 10 lakh in the manufacturing sector and above Rs. 5 lakh in the service/business sector, beneficiaries should at least have completed their VIII standard.
• Assistance under this scheme is only available for new projects approved specifically under PMEGP.
• Self Help Groups (including those from Below Poverty Line or BPL, as long as they haven’t received benefits from any other scheme) can also get assistance under PMEGP.
• Institutions registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.
• Production Co-operative Societies.
• Charitable Trusts.
• Existing units (under PMRY, REGP, or any other government scheme) and units that have already received a Government subsidy are not eligible.
