Containment Zones in Hyderabad List PDF

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced the latest updates on containment zones in Hyderabad. These guidelines state that apartments, colonies, and gated communities with clusters are categorized as micro containment zones but are not barricaded like before.

As of April 22, there are currently 495 active micro containment zones across Telangana, with the highest concentration in the state capital, Hyderabad, which alone has 70 active zones.

Strategies for Containment

To tackle the situation and prevent the spread of the virus, Telangana has implemented a night curfew for 10 days starting from April 20. Professor Subodh Kandamuthan, who is the director of the Centre for Health Care Management at the Administrative Staff College of India, believes that it is easier for people to travel to Telangana and Hyderabad compared to other states. Hence, he stresses the need for stricter rules on interstate travel.
