Important Information About the ICAI Opt-Out Declaration Form

This declaration form is intended for students who have completed the examination form for May/July 2021. It applies to students enrolled in final, intermediate, and foundation courses.

ICAI announced the examination datasheet on 5th June 2021 for the Final, Intermediate, and PQC Courses, which will take place from 5th July 2021 to 20th July 2021. The Foundation examination is set for 24th, 26th, 28th, and 30th July.

ICAI Announcement for the Opt-Out Declaration Form

If the examinee or their grandparents, parents, spouse, children, or siblings (who live in the same house) are infected with Covid-19, these students have the option to “opt-out” (with the carryover of any fee paid and exemptions granted) to the November 2021 examination cycle. Here are the guidelines that examinees must follow:

The opt-out can be exercised by logging into the examination portal and submitting the Covid-19 positive RTPCR Report, Aadhar Card, and the self-declaration form (as prescribed by ICAI).
The examinee must submit their Covid-19 positive RTPCR report issued by a government-recognized laboratory. Please note that all such reports will be verified by ICAI, and any false or fabricated reports will lead to strict actions as decided by the Committee.
The examinee needs to submit their Aadhar Card along with the Aadhar Card of the infected relative, if applicable.
Examinees should note that the Covid-19 positive RTPCR report must have a date that is on or after the date of this announcement, up to the conclusion of the examination for which they have applied. Those who opt-out from the May/July 2021 Examination cycle will be allowed to take their examinations in the November 2021 Examination Cycle. The last attempt of the Old Course for Final and Intermediate (IPC) examinations will be extended to the November 2021 examinations only for students who are allowed to opt-out.
If a student opts out of any paper during the entire examination cycle, they will not be permitted to appear in any of the remaining papers.
If a student appears for the first group and then opts out before the last paper of the second group, the result of the first group will be declared, and the opt-out will apply only to the second group.
