The state govt. of Gujarat will launch this scheme with the help of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs of India to provide business opportunities to SC people. All the people who are belonging to SC caste would be able to start their own business and do well by applying for this scheme. The authorities will also provide some essential tools and equipment to the socially backward community to boost their income level.
The state govt. of Gujarat will provide special benefits to the people of the state under Manav Garima Yojana. The major objective of this scheme is to boost the economic status of the SC caste people. Those people who are belonging to the Below Poverty line (BPL) can apply for this scheme. The annual family income should be less than Rs. 47,000 in rural areas and Rs. 60,000 in urban areas.
Under Manav Garima Scheme, the state govt. will provide financial assistance of Rs. 4000 to the beneficiaries. In addition to this, the Gujarat government will also provide assistance to enable people to purchase tools. These tools will be given to those people who are regularly engaging in vegetable vendors, carpentry, and gardening. The hawkers will also get a special benefit under this scheme. The main aim of this scheme to help poor people to build their own business.
Eligibility Criteria for Manav Garima Yojana
A)The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Gujarat state.
B) The applicant must belong to the scheduled caste (SC) category.
C) The applicant must belong to below the poverty line (BPL) category.
D)The annual family income of the applicants must be less than Rs. 47,000 for rural areas and Rs. 60,000 for the urban areas.
