Eligibility Criteria for Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme

  1. The scholarship will be awarded to students who have scored at least 50% marks in their last examination.
  2. The annual income of their parents or guardians from all sources should not exceed ₹1 lakh.
  3. As the number of scholarships for minorities is fixed and limited each year, preference will be given during selection.
  4. For this scholarship, more importance will be given to financial need over marks.
  5. For renewal applications, funds will be fully utilized before considering new applications.

Conditions for Pre-Matric Scholarship

  • This scholarship is available to students from minority communities studying in Classes I to X. The scholarship will continue as long as students secure 50% marks in their previous examinations. Maintenance allowances will be provided for both hostellers and day scholars.
  • The award will be discontinued if a student does not achieve 50% marks in the annual examination, unless there are unavoidable reasons certified by the Principal or competent authority of the school and recommended by the State Government or Union Territory Administration.
  • No more than two students from one family can receive this scholarship.
  • Students must maintain regular attendance, as determined by the school’s authority.
  • The income certificate must be self-certified by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper from self-employed parents or guardians and provided from the employer for those who are employed.
  • Tuition fees will be credited to the school’s bank account. There will be efforts made to transfer the fees electronically through banks.
