The Welfare of Schedule Castes & Backward Classes Department implements various schemes for the Welfare of Schedule Castes & Backward Classes in the State of Haryana. The main function of the Department is to coordinate and supervise the activities of other departments in the matter of implementation of various schemes designed for the Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and De-notified Tribes.
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the OBC students studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.
Eligibility Criteria for Post Matric Scholarship Form Haryana
- The student should be a domicile of Haryana & must belong to Backward Class.
- Annual Income of the parents/guardians should not exceed Rs 1,00,000/-
- The scholarships will be open to Indian nationals belonging to OBCs, as notified by the Central Govt./State Govt./ UT Admn.
- “Scholarships shall not be awarded for training courses like Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Course and Private Pilot License Courses. Courses at Training-Ship Dufferin (Now Rajendra); Courses of training at the Military College, Dehradun, Courses at preexamination Training Centres of All India and State levels.”
