माध्यमिक शिक्षा सेवा चयन बोर्ड ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश पर पिछले साल अक्तूबर के अंत में टीजीटी के 12610 और पीजीटी के 2597 पदों पर चयन प्रक्रिया पूरी की थी। इसके बाद विद्यालय आवंटित कर अभ्यर्थियों को नियुक्ति पत्र भी जारी कर दिए गए। नियुक्ति पत्र जारी होने के बाद भी बड़ी संख्या में अभ्यर्थियों ने ज्वाइन नहीं किया। अब टीजीटी के 1252 और पीजीटी के 106 रिक्त पदों पर वेटिंग लिस्ट से भर्ती की जानी है। उप शिक्षा निदेशक माध्यमिक-तीन रामचेत ने रिक्त पदों की लिस्ट जारी कर दी है।

वेटिंग लिस्ट के अभ्यर्थियों को रिक्त पदों पर नियुक्ति दिए जाने की मांग को लेकर अभ्यर्थी लगातार आंदोलन भी कर रहे थे। अभ्यर्थियों ने कई बार चयन बोर्ड में ज्ञापन भी दिया। इससे पहले टीजीटी/पीजीटी-2016 के तहत टीजीटी के 899 रिक्त पदों को वेटिंग लिस्ट से भरने की प्रक्रिया शुरू की गई थी और इन अभ्यर्थियों को अप्रैल 2023 तक नियुक्ति दी जानी है।
