In a move that is likely to impact lakhs of commuters, Central Railway has announced a 63-hour mega block from the midnight of May 30 for platform extension works on the Mumbai network. The mega block will be operated for platform extension and widening works at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in south Mumbai and at Thane station. The mega block is likely to conclude at 3:30 pm on Sun.
A total of 72 mail-express trains and 930 suburban trains on the main and Harbour corridors will remain cancelled from Friday to Sunday.
