About ECHS and Its Benefits
The ECHS, referred to as the “Scheme” in this brochure, issues a special ‘Smart card’ known as the “ECHS membership card” to all its members. This smart card has advanced security features and personal information printed on it.
Smart Card Features
The smart card displays the pensioner’s details on the front, while the information about dependents is printed on the backside. It comes with a 32Kb chip that securely carries important details, including the medical history of Ex-servicemen and their dependents.
To receive medical care at any ECHS Polyclinic, empanelled hospitals, nursing homes, or diagnostic centers, showing this smart card is essential. If a person does not present their card for verification, they cannot receive treatment.
