Some cards have legal standing, while others just state that the bearer is a working journalist.
Required Documents for the Freelance Journalist
- Photograph
- CA certificate for income defined in guidelines, in original, or valid proof of revenue from freelance tie-ups with varied years of experience.
- Copies of educational and professional degree certifications.
- Evidence of current freelance work
- All employers must provide a release letter or proof of service.
- Copies of employment letters from all employers, including T&C, job title, and compensation.
- Pay stubs from all of your employers.
Eligibility for Journalist
Freelance: Full-time journalist with 15 years of working experience.
Foreign Journalist: 5 years of full-time journalism experience.
Correspondent/Cameraperson: 5 years of full-time journalism experience.
