Gazetted Officers List for Documents Verification

• Citizenship Certification: Only Group A officers and Sub-Divisional Magistrate can attest citizenship-related certificates. So you need to visit the district court or SDM for citizenship certification.
• Verification for Passport Issue: Group A officers at Ministries of Government of India, at the rank of Secretary/Dy. Director and above, can verify and attest documents related to passports.
• Character Certificate or Police Record Verification: For character and police record verification, you need to visit the nearest police station, where you can get your police record verified by Group A or Group B gazetted police officials. You can also visit the office of the Superintendent of Police or Deputy Superintendent of Police.
• Admit Card Verification and Job-Related Document Attestation: For this, you can approach any nearby gazetted officer like SDM, SDO, BDO, DM, or the Principal and Headmaster of a government high school.
