The Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20, is notified by Central Government, in the exercise of powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) [FT (D&R) Act], as amended.

The Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2015-2020, incorporating provisions relating to export and import of goods and
services, shall come into force with effect from the date of notification and shall remain in force up to 31st March 2020, unless otherwise specified. All exports and imports made up to the date of notification shall, accordingly, be governed by the relevant FTP, unless otherwise specified.

Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, as amended from time to
time reserves the right to make any amendment to the FTP, by means of notification, in the public interest.
