Under the Saur Sujala Yojana, the government will distribute solar-powered irrigation pumps with capacities of 3HP and 5HP, valued at ₹3.5 lakh and ₹4.5 lakh, respectively. Farmers will receive these pumps at subsidized rates by March 31, 2019. 🌞

Saur Sujala Yojana Implementation

The implementation of this scheme will be undertaken by CREDA (Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency) under the Department of Energy, Govt of Chhattisgarh. This year, approximately 11,000 solar pumps will be distributed to farmers across various zones in the state within the ongoing financial year, i.e., 2016-17.

The selection of beneficiaries for the Saur Sujala Yojana will be handled by the agriculture department of the state government. Farmers who have previously received benefits under the borewell or pump scheme will also be eligible for this initiative.
