राष्ट्रीय कृषि विकास योजना के तहत मधुमक्खी पालन को एक व्यवसाय का रूप देने का कार्यक्रम है। किसानों को अब तक जहां जिले में फसलों, बगीचों, फूल उत्पादन सहित मत्स्य, बकरी, कुक्ड पालन, शूकर व भैंस पालन के लिए अनुदान मिलता था। वहीं अब मधुमक्खी पालन के लिए भी 50 प्रतिशत अनुदान देने का निर्णय है। इससे जहां किसानों को अच्छी बचत मिलेगी, वहीं औषधि सहित अन्य कार्यों में प्रयुक्त होने वाली बेशकीमती शहद के संरक्षण की भी योजना तैयार की गयी है। इससे लुप्त हो रही मधुमक्खी प्रजाति को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
