Objectives:

To create employment opportunities in both rural and urban areas by establishing new ventures and expanding existing ones.
To provide financial help to micro and small businesses involved in manufacturing, trading, and service sectors.
To assist traditional artisans in enhancing their income levels and achieving sustainable growth.

Eligibility Criteria for SVAYEM Self Employment Scheme

To be eligible for the SVAYEM Scheme Assam, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
The applicant’s age must be under 40 years.
He/She must have completed matriculation.
The applicant should belong to existing Self Help Groups, Joint Liability Groups, and similar organizations.

Manufacturing
Processing
Service Sector
Trading
Rural Transport Services (like Auto Rickshaw and e-Rickshaw)
Tourism
Shops, Repair Centres, Handicrafts, Cottage Industries, etc.

Negative List of Activities:

Manufacturing of intoxicants
Production of Beedis, Panmasala, Cigarettes, etc.
Liquor sales outlets
Plastic bags below 40 microns

Documents Required:

Proof of identity – A self-certified copy of Voter’s ID card, Driving License, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, or Passport.
Proof of Identity/Address of the Business Enterprise – Copies of relevant licenses, registration certificates, or other documents related to the ownership, identity, and address of the business unit.
Project report (for the proposed project), including details on technical and economic viability.
