- The State Level Monitoring Committee, chaired by the Agriculture Production Commissioner, will monitor the entire scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for assistance under this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be a small or marginal farmer.
- The beneficiary’s age should be over 21 years.
- He or she must have been cultivating land for at least three consecutive years.
- The applicant must be a resident of the local area.
- All KCC cardholders are eligible for this support.
- The beneficiary should have an active bank account.
- Only one farmer per family can benefit from this scheme.
- Tenant farmers and sharecroppers may also qualify, provided they cultivate a minimum area of 1 acre or 1.3 bighas.
Selection of Beneficiaries
The selection process for beneficiaries will follow these steps:
- The Agriculture Department will promote the scheme through print and electronic media, inviting applications on their official websites.
- Assistant Agricultural Extension Officers (AEAs) will gather applications, including the beneficiaries’ bank account and mobile number details.
- Beneficiaries will be chosen based on the Gaon Panchayat scheme.
- Assistant Development Officers (ADOs) will prepare a list of beneficiaries for each Gaon Panchayat and present it to the District Level Committee after thorough verification.
- This list, prepared by AEAs and ADOs, must be approved by the District Level Committee (DLC).
- Reservations for SC/ST farmers will be in line with the State Reservation Act: 7% for SC, 10% for ST (P), and 5% for ST (H).
- Upon approval, the finalized beneficiary list will be submitted to the Director of Agriculture, along with their bank and mobile number details.
