Minority Caste List - Summary

Minority communities in India play an essential role in our diverse society. They include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains. The Indian Government offers scholarships to students from these minority castes through State Governments and Union Territories. Additionally, the Ministry is dedicated to addressing the needs of linguistic minorities and provides representation for the Anglo-Indian community. The ministry also focuses on the protection and preservation of non-Muslim shrines in Pakistan and Muslim shrines in India as per the Pant-Mirza Agreement of 1955, in cooperation with the Ministry of External Affairs.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) Scheme.
Naya Savera – Free Coaching and Allied Scheme for candidates belonging to Minority Communities.
Padho Pardesh – Scheme providing Interest Subsidy on Educational Loans for Overseas Studies for students from Minority Communities.
Nai Udaan – Support for Minority Students who clear Prelims conducted by UPSC, State Public Service Commissions (PSCs), and Staff Selection Commission.

- Seekho Aur Kamao (Learn & Earn).
- USTTAD (Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts/Crafts for Development).
- Nai Manzil – A scheme aimed at providing education and skill training to youth from Minority Communities.
