Steps to Apply for a New HT Electricity Connection

1. The first step is to contact the Revenue Accountant (RA) at the sub-divisional office to get the application and agreement form. Alternatively, you can download it in PDF format using the link given below.
2. Make sure to submit the Application and Agreement (A&A) form in duplicate.
3. Fill out the application and agreement form properly and hand it over to the Consumer Clerk (CC) or the Revenue Accountant (RA) for further processing.

5. At the time of paying the application processing fee, the cashier will provide a Registration Number. You will receive an Application Number once the security amount is deposited and the agreement is finalized.

7. A Demand Notice will be issued as per clause 3.7 of the Electricity Supply Code Regulations 2010, as notified by JERC.
8. Once necessary, the licensee may ask for original documents from you for verification.
9. To get a new connection and for any changes in agreed parameters like contract demand, you will need to execute an agreement in the prescribed format on stamp paper of Rs 5/-. For single-phase domestic and non-domestic consumers, the application form itself will serve as the agreement.
10. You must provide a test report issued by a licensed electrical wiring contractor after installation, showing full load and machinery details.
11. After the R-APDRP Scheme is implemented, you will be able to receive a copy of the bill, payment reminders, or important messages via email or SMS.
12. If a name change is required, you must submit an undertaking to pay any outstanding amounts when applying or later discovered through an audit against the electricity connection for which the name change request is being made.
