UPSC Engineering Services (Prelims) Electrical Engineering Exam 2020 - Summary
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) holds a joint competitive examination for selection to the Engineering Services.
The examination consists of a written examination followed by a personality test interview.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education – A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Age – 21 – 30 year
- Citizenship –
1. a citizen of India, or
2. a Nepalese subject, or
3. a Bhutanese subject, or
4. a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, to live permanently in India
Provided, however, that a candidate falling under categories (2), (3), or (4) above must be a person on whose behalf the Government of India has issued an eligibility certificate.

Engineering Mathematics, Electric Circuits and Fields, Electrical and Electronic Measurement, Computer Fundamentals, Analog, Systems, and Signal Processing, Control Systems, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, and Power Electronics and Drives, are all covered in this subject.
