The Telangana Rythu Bhima Scheme is designed to provide financial relief and security to the families or dependents of deceased farmers (Pattadars) in case of their untimely death. In Telangana, most farmers are small and marginal, and agriculture serves as their only source of livelihood.
Telangana Rythu Bhima Scheme Guidelines/Application Form Download
For new farmers (Pattadars) who join this Scheme during a Policy Year, the Government will cover their life insurance by paying the complete yearly premium. They will send the necessary data to the Corporation on a monthly basis. For insured farmers (Pattadars) who lose land due to any reason, the insurance coverage will remain effective until the next annual renewal date.
The sum assured under the scheme is Rs. 5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs) and will be paid to the nominee(s) named by the insured. The premium for each member is Rs. 1925/- per annum, plus applicable GST, which is currently 18%.
Telangana Rythu Bhima Scheme (Eligibility)
To be eligible, Pattadar Passbook holders in the State of Telangana must be aged between 18 and 59 years as of the application date.
