Eligibility Criteria for Telangana Ration Card
All the applicants must meet the basic eligibility criteria to get a new ration card in Telangana:
- Applicants who are permanent residents of Telangana can apply.
- Households not already having ration cards in the state are eligible.
- Newly married couples can apply for a new ration card.
- Citizens having temporary ration cards whose date has expired are eligible.
Documents Required for New Ration Card
- Residential proof such as Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card (Scanned Copy)
- Age Certificate (Scanned Copy)
- Identity Proof like Voter ID, Driving Licence, Aadhar Card (Scanned Copy)
- Income proof of the family (Scanned Copy)
- A recent Passport Size Photograph of the applicant
- Valid Mobile Number / E-mail ID
- Self Declaration and Certificate issued by Ward Councillor/ Pradhan
- Tenancy Agreement (if applicable)
New Ration Card – How to Apply?
- Obtain an application form from the nearest MeeSeva center or the official MeeSeva website: https://www.tg.meeseva.gov.in or directly download it from the link given at the bottom of this page.
- Navigate to MeeSeva Service Forms or use this link: http://tg.meeseva.gov.in/DeptPortal/Meeseva-Applications.html.
- Under the Civil Supplies Department option, click on “Application for New Food Security Card.”
- Download and print the application form.
- Complete the form with essential details such as name, age, gender, father’s name, address, mobile number, qualifications, district, region, family members, total family income, etc.
- Attach the necessary documents, including a copy of the original resident proof, an Aadhaar card, and a passport-sized photograph.
- Submit the application form with the prescribed fee at the MeeSeva center and ensure to obtain an acknowledgment slip.
