Eligibility Criteria

PehlaKadam: This account can be opened for minors of any age but must be done jointly with a parent or guardian.
PehliUdaan: This account is meant for minors aged 10 years and older who are able to sign. It is opened solely in the name of the minor.
Mode of Operation
- PehlaKadam: Operated jointly with the Parent/Guardian or solely by the Parent/Guardian.
- PehliUdaan: Operated only by the minor.

KYC Requirements

PehlaKadam
- Proof of Date of Birth for the Minor + KYC documents for the Parent, such as Aadhaar and PAN or Form 60. If the Aadhaar number is not available, proof of the application for Aadhaar enrolment must be provided. If PAN is not submitted, a certified copy of an Officially Valid Document (OVD) along with Form 60 is required. For applicants who are not residents of India or from Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, or Meghalaya without a PAN, a certified copy of OVD showing identity and address, along with one recent photograph, must be submitted.
PehliUdaan
- Proof of Date of Birth for the Minor, Aadhaar, and PAN or Form 60. If the Aadhaar number is not provided, you must show proof of the application for Aadhaar enrolment. Those without PAN need to submit a certified copy of an Officially Valid Document (OVD) along with Form 60.
