Eligibility Criteria

PehlaKadam: This account is for minors of any age and must be opened jointly with a parent or guardian.
PehliUdaan: This account is available for minors above 10 years who can sign uniformly. It will be opened in the sole name of the minor.
Mode of Operation
- PehlaKadam: Operated jointly with the Parent/ Guardian or solely by the Parent/ Guardian
- PehliUdaan: Operated solely by the minor

KYC Requirements

PehlaKadam
- Proof of Date of Birth for the Minor + KYC documents for the Parent such as Aadhaar and PAN or Form 60. If the Aadhaar number is not available, proof of application for Aadhaar enrolment must be provided. If PAN is not submitted, a certified copy of an Officially Valid Document (OVD) along with Form 60 is required. Additionally, for applicants who are not residents of India or are from Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, or Meghalaya and do not have a PAN, a certified copy of OVD showing identity and address, along with one recent photograph, must be submitted.
PehliUdaan
- Proof of Date of Birth for the Minor, Aadhaar, and PAN or Form 60. If the Aadhaar number is not provided, the applicant must show proof of application for Aadhaar enrolment. For those without PAN, a certified copy of an Officially Valid Document (OVD) along with Form 60 is needed. In cases where the applicant is not a resident of India or is from Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, or Meghalaya without PAN, a certified copy of OVD showing identity and address, along with a recent photograph, must be submitted.
