MEDISEP Scheme – Eligibility Beneficiary
- All serving employees of the State Government, including both teaching and non-teaching staff from Aided Schools and Colleges, are eligible by remitting the prescribed premium. This also includes employees from universities receiving Grant-in-Aid from the State Government and Local Self Government Institutions, as well as personal staff of key officials like the Chief Minister, Ministers, Leader of Opposition, Chief Whip, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Chairpersons of Financial Committees.
- Newly appointed employees who join during the policy period of three years must enroll in the scheme by paying their premium from the month they begin working, allowing them to avail themselves of a Basic Sum Insured of up to Rupees Two Lakh per annum.
- Part-time contingent employees and pensioners, as well as part-time teachers and pensioners, can also join by paying the prescribed premium. Part-time pensioners need to authorize the deduction of the monthly premium from their pension funds.
- All service pensioners, including those from aided schools and colleges, are eligible to join by having their entitled medical allowance deducted. Pensioners from universities receiving Grant-in-Aid from the State Government and Local Self Government Institutions, along with directly recruited personal staff pensioners, are also considered beneficiaries of this scheme.
