MEDISEP Scheme – Eligibility Beneficiary
- All serving employees of the State Government, which includes both teaching and non-teaching staff from Aided Schools and Colleges, can participate by paying the necessary premium. This also extends to employees from universities that receive Grant-in-Aid from the State Government and Local Self Government Institutions, including personal staff of key officials like the Chief Minister, Ministers, Leader of Opposition, Chief Whip, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Chairpersons of Financial Committees.
- Newly appointed employees who start during the policy period of three years must enroll in the scheme by paying their premium from the first month of their employment. This allows them to enjoy a Basic Sum Insured of up to Rupees Two Lakh per annum.
- Part-time contingent employees and pensioners, along with part-time teachers and their pensioners, can also join the scheme by paying the prescribed premium. Part-time pensioners need to authorize the deduction of the monthly premium directly from their pension funds.
- All service pensioners, including those from aided schools and colleges, are eligible to enroll by having their entitled medical allowance conveniently deducted. Pensioners from universities receiving Grant-in-Aid from the State Government and Local Self Government Institutions, as well as directly recruited personal staff pensioners, are also beneficiaries of this medical insurance scheme.
