Under this scheme, a grant of ₹15,000 will be given to families of Scheduled Caste/Denotified Tribes/Tapriwas Jatis when their daughters get married. For other sections of society below the poverty line, the amount offered is ₹5,100 on the occasion of their daughters’ marriages.

Haryana Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana Form (Eligibility)

The beneficiary must be a resident of Haryana.
The girl must be 18 years old, which is the minimum legal age for marriage.
The beneficiary’s name should be listed among those below the poverty line (BPL).
This grant will only be available for the marriage of a maximum of two daughters in a family.
A woman who is a widow or divorcee and wishes to remarry can also receive this grant, provided she meets the eligibility criteria and has not previously received this grant for her own marriage.

Application Procedure

Parents seeking this grant should submit the application to the relevant Tehsil Welfare Officer or District Welfare Officer using the proforma provided in Annexure ‘A’.
Applications can be submitted anytime before the actual marriage date or within 30 days of the marriage. If applications are submitted after 30 days, they will still be considered. The concerned Deputy Commissioner will review the application to confirm the marriage took place and may permit late submission.
Once the necessary formalities are complete, the District Welfare Officer will forward the case to the Deputy Commissioner, who is the sanctioning authority. The grant will be disbursed through a Bank draft drawn from the Treasury, and a receipt will be maintained for official records. Efforts will be made to ensure that the grant is disbursed on or before the marriage date.
After the marriage ceremony, the beneficiary must provide a certificate, as outlined in Annexure ‘B’, confirming that the marriage has occurred. If this certificate is not submitted within one month of the marriage date, the District Welfare Officer will present the case to the Deputy Commissioner, who may order the recovery of the grant amount as arrears of land revenue.
