Understanding Aadhaar Seeding for DBT
The bank officials will verify the details and documents you provide, ensuring the authenticity of your application based on your signature. Once everything is in order, they will accept your Aadhaar seeding consent form and provide you with an acknowledgment.
After this process, the bank will link your Aadhaar number to your account, as well as to the NPCI mapper. Once this is completed, your Aadhaar number will be updated in the NPCI mapper.
If you wish to transfer your Aadhaar number from one bank to another, you must inform the bank of the name from which the Aadhaar is being moved. If you have given consent to multiple banks, remember that the subsidy will be credited to the last bank where your Aadhaar is linked and the status is active in the NPCI mapper.
