BMC Election 2022 Ward Reservation List Marathi
The Maharashtra State Election Commission has released the BMC Election 2022 Ward Reservation List for the 236 ward reservations in the much-delayed Mumbai civic body election will be held on Tuesday at Bandra’s Rangsharda auditorium. The SEC has already accepted the draft of electoral ward boundaries demarcation. The total electoral wards have been increased to 236 from 227.
The civic body is likely to start with the lottery process with a presentation, said a civic official, adding children from a municipal school will draw the letter. As per the State Election Commission’s notification, a lottery will be drawn for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and general category seats for women.
BMC Election 2022 Ward Reservation List
The list of reserved and unreserved wards was announced by the municipality. Ward No. 27.5595, 98, 111. 121, 124, 126, 129, 137, 145, 146, 147, 150, 151, 152, 154, 155, 156, 159. 160, 175, 179, 187, 189, 192, 195, 202, 203, 206, 207, 218, 224 and 234 were reserved for the Scheduled Castes in the 2007, 2012 and 2017 elections. They are now excluded. Wards 60, 85, 107, 119.139, 153, 157, 162, 165, 190, 194, 204, 208, 215 and 221 are reserved for Scheduled Castes. Out of these wards, in the elections of 2007, 2012, and 2017, as no ward is reserved for SC women, 8 out of the 15 wards will be selected by lot for women. Women general, excluding OBC reservations,
Which ward for SC women?
Wards 139, 190, 194, 165, 107, 85, 119, and 204 have been reserved for SC women groups. The existing male councilors in this ward will have to find another option.
