అట్లతద్ది వ్రత కథ (Atla Taddi Katha in Telugu)
Atla Taddi is a traditional festival celebrated by married Hindu women of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the health and long life of their husbands. It occurs on the 3rd night after the full moon in Aswiyuja month of Telugu calendar and falls in either September or October in the Gregorian calendar. It is the Telugu equivalent of Karva Chauth, which is celebrated by North Indian women the following day.
అవివాహిత యువతలు మంచి భర్త రావాలని పూజిస్తే, వివాహితులు మంచి భర్త దొరికినందుకు, అతడు ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉండాలని కోరుకుంటారు. సాధారణంగా వివాహమైన తర్వాత పదేళ్లపాటు తప్పనిసరిగా ఈ పూజను చేసి, సమాప్తం అయిందనడానికి గుర్తుగా ఉద్యాపన చేస్తారు. అంటే చివరిసారి పూజచేసి ముత్తైదవులను పిలిచి వాయినాలిచ్చి కన్నుల పండువగా ముగిస్తారు.త్రిలోక సంచారి నారదుడి ప్రోద్బలంతో శివుని తన పతిగా పొందడానికి పార్వతిదేవి తొలుత చేసిన విశిష్టమైన వ్రతమే ఈ అట్లతద్ది. స్త్రీలు సౌభాగ్యం కోసం చేసుకొనే వ్రతం.
అట్లతద్ది వ్రత కథ (Atla Taddi Vrat Katha in Telugu)
అట్ల తద్ది రోజున తెల్లవారుజామునే మేల్కొని తలంటి స్నానమాచరించాలి.ఉపవాసం ఉండి ఇంట్లో తూర్పు దిక్కున మండాపాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసి గౌరీదేవిని పూజించాలి. ధూప, దీప, నైవేద్యాలు సమర్పించి, వినాయక పూజ తర్వాత గౌరీ స్తోత్రం, శ్లోకాలు పఠించాలి. సాయంత్రం చంద్రదర్శనం అనంతరం తిరిగి గౌరీపూజచేసి 10 అట్లు నైవేద్యంగాపెట్టాలి. అనంతరం ముత్తైదువులకు అలంకరించి పది అట్లు, పది పండ్లు వాయినంగా సమర్పిస్తారు. అట్లతద్ది నోము కథ చెప్పుకొని, అక్షతలు వేసుకోవాలి. ముత్తైదువులకు నల్లపూసలు, లక్కకోళ్లు, రవిక గుడ్డలు, దక్షిణ తాంబూలాలు ఇచ్చి భోజనాలుపెట్టి తామూ భోజనం చేయాలి.
Atla Taddi Vrat Katha Procedure
Following are customs in some places of Andhra Pradesh, India:
- This festival is celebrated by women and children.
- On eve of this day, they apply Gorintaku (henna) on their palms.
- Women and children wake up in the early morning before the sunrise, and have suddi (rice cooked day before night) with perugu (curd) and Gongura chutney.
- Unmarried girls and children will play on the streets singing Atla Tadde Song after having suddi until sun raises.
- People swing in the uyyala (Swing (seat)).
- People watch the moon in nearby pond or lake after the sunrise welcoming the day.
- Pootarekulu (sweet made with rice flour, jaggery, and milk)
- Kudumulu (5 for gauri devi) (for yourself and other muttayuduvu 5 each and on 4 kudumulu you place one on top of the 4 and make it as deepam and eat the same after your pooja when the deepam is still lighting)
- 11 small Dosas (for each)
- Toranam for hand (with 11 nots for atla tadde n 5 nots toranam for Undralla tadde)
