Annai teresa marriage scheme was launched by Tamil Nadu Governments Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department in 1984 to support the orphan girls for getting married.
In the year 1999 the scheme was named as Annai Therasa Ninaivu marriage assistance scheme for orphan girls. Under this scheme govt. of Tamil Nadu provide Rs. 20,000 as financial assistance for marriage.
