PMAY CLSS For EWS / LIG Guidelines PDF
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has laid up a road plan as well as the eligibility requirements for prospective applicants. PMAY has also sought the cooperation of some of the country’s biggest banks to grant building loans.
Banks give loans at a reduced interest rate since the government pays the rest on the applicant’s behalf. Subsidized loans enable more economically disadvantaged people to build a home.
Eligibility
EWS – EWS refers to those with a household income of less than Rs.3 lakh per annum. An applicant claiming to be on EWS, on the other hand, must supply the government with required proof for their claims to be verified.
LIG – People in the LIG group have an annual household income of between Rs. 3 lakh and Rs. 6 lakh. They must, once again, give sufficient documentation of their financial situation to be considered.
Women – If EWS/LIG women apply for the PMAY program, they will be considered.
Minorities – People from minority groups such as SC/ST/OBC will be classified as minorities. These people must meet to produce the required caste and income credentials to be considered for the PMAY scheme.
Guidelines
Family members of the applicant must not possess a home in any area of the country.
In the event of a married pair, either a single or joint ownership contract is permitted, with both receiving a single subsidy.
The Applicant’s family must not have benefited from any of the Government of India’s housing-related initiatives.
