Rupashree Form 2025 - Summary
Rupashree Prakalpa is a helpful initiative by the West Bengal state government that provides a one-time financial grant of Rs. 25,000 to economically struggling families when their adult daughters are getting married.
Understanding the Rupashree Prakalpa Form 2025
To apply for this grant, the completed Rupashree Prakalpa Application Form, along with all required documents and certifications, must be submitted to the Office of the Block Development Officer, the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, or the Office of the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation where the applicant lives. Remember to submit the form at least 30 days and no more than 60 days before the proposed wedding date.

Eligibility Criteria for Rupashree Form
This scheme is available to any woman who wishes to get married, provided her application meets the following criteria:
- The applicant must be at least 18 years old.
- She must be unmarried when submitting her application.
- The upcoming marriage should be her first marriage.
- She should be born in West Bengal OR have lived in West Bengal for the past 5 years OR her parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal.
- Her family’s yearly income should not exceed Rs. 1.50 lakhs.
- The prospective groom should be at least 21 years old.
- She must have an active bank account solely in her name, and it must be in a bank that has an IFS Code and a MICR code, allowing for e-payments via NEFT.
Documents Required for Rupashree Form
Along with the application form, the following documents/certifications must be submitted:
- Self-attested photocopy of any one of the following: Birth Certificate / Voter ID / PAN Card / Madhyamik Admit Card / AADHAR Card / Government Recognized School Leaving Certificate
- Self-Declaration
- Income Certificate
- Photocopy of the page from the bank passbook showing the account holder’s name, account number, bank address, IFS Code, MICR Number, and other details
- Proof of Proposed Marriage: Any one of the following: Marriage Invitation Card / Notice for Registration of Marriage / Self Declaration.
- Proof of Groom’s Age: Photocopy of any one of the following: Birth Certificate / Voter ID / PAN Card / Madhyamik Admit Card / AADHAR Card / Government Recognized School Leaving Certificate
- Recent coloured passport-size photographs of the applicant and the prospective groom.
Application Processing and Fund Disbursement
Once submitted, each application will be assigned to an Enquiry Officer who will conduct a field verification and prepare an Enquiry Report. The Sanctioning Officer (BDO, SDO, or Commissioner) will approve all applications that pass verification and reject those that do not meet the requirements.
The Drawing and Disbursing Officer will transfer the approved grant through IFMS to the applicant’s bank account, based on fund availability. It’s important to note that the fund transfer must be completed at least five days before the scheduled marriage date.
