Important Instructions
- Please fill the form in clear and legible handwriting to prevent any mistakes in your application. Avoid overwriting. If you need to make corrections, cancel the error and rewrite it. Make sure to countersign any corrections made. Each box should contain only one character (alphabet, number, or punctuation mark), leaving a blank box after each word.
- If you mention a KYC number, then you must also submit proof of it.
- Applications that are incomplete or lack the required documents will be rejected. Make sure all mandatory fields are filled in, and do not print the application form back to back.
- The subscriber should not sign over the photograph. The photograph must not be stapled or clipped to the form. If the photograph has any marks that obstruct clear visibility of the subscriber’s face, the application will be denied.
- All documents submitted by the applicant must be self-attested, and the originals should be available for verification by the nodal office.
- The name and address provided by the applicant on the form must match the documentary proof submitted.
- The subscriber’s thumb impression should be verified by an officer from the POP-SP or Nodal Office.
- This form is intended solely for Resident Indians. Separate forms are available for Non-Resident Indians and Overseas Citizens of India.
- At present, Foreign Nationals, individuals from other countries (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are not allowed to open PRAN.
- The applicant must provide the names of both the father and mother and select which name will be printed on the PRAN Card.
