WBSSC SLST 2025 – Eligibility Criteria, Education Qualification and Age

Candidates who are willing to apply for Assistant Teachers for Secondary Classes IX & X and Higher Secondary Classes XI & XII must be aware of the education qualification required and the age criteria to be fulfilled.

Education Qualification

Assistant Teachers for IX & X Classes

a) Graduation / Post Graduation completed from a recognised University with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Education recognised institution, OR
(b) 4–year degree of B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Education recognised institution.

Assistant Teachers for XI & XII Classes

(a) Candidates must have completed their post graduation with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from a recognised University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a National Council for Teacher Education recognised institution; OR
(b) Candidates must have completed their post-graduation with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from a recognised University and B.A. Ed/ B.Sc. Ed. from any NCTE recognised institution.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

Candidates must fall in the age group of 21 to 40 years to be eligible to apply for WBSSC SLST Recruitment 2025. The age limit will be counted as on 01/01/2025.

Upper age limit Relaxation

• Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates- 5 years
• Other Backwards Classes candidates- 3 years
• Physically Handicapped Candidates- 8 years

WBSSC SLST 2025 Form Fill Up

1. Go to the official West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) website at www.westbengalssc.com.
2. A new page with “https://www.westbengalssc.com/otr/recruitment/” opens on the screen.
3. Click on “Register” if you are a new user and create a unique Candidate ID by filling details Name of the Candidate, Father’s/ Mother’s Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, and Address. Create a password that’s easy to remember.
4. Now log in using “Candidate ID, Mobile Number” and enter your password.
5. Complete the form by entering personal details (name, date of birth, etc.), academic qualifications (marks, board, passing year for MP, HS, graduation, etc.), work experience (if applicable), and preferences for medium of vacancy or subject.
6. Scan and upload required documents, including your photograph and signature, in the specified format
7. Pay the required application fee as applicable.
8. Verify all entered details carefully for accuracy. Once satisfied, click the “Submit” button to complete the application process.
