Uttarakhand Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Scheme Guidelines - Summary
The Uttarakhand Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Scheme guidelines focus on empowering rural women through various supportive services. Announced by the Finance Minister in the budget speech (2017-18), the MSK scheme aims to provide a “one-stop convergent support service” for skill development, employment, digital literacy, health, and many opportunities.
Objectives of the MSK Scheme
The newly launched MSK scheme is designed to function at various levels. At the national level, it offers domain-based knowledge support, while state-level resource centers provide technical assistance to tackle women’s issues. Additionally, district and block-level centers are also there to support the MSK initiative.
Coverage and Implementation
In a phased manner, the MSK scheme will cover women empowerment programs across 640 districts, including the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative. This comprehensive approach aims to ensure that women in different regions receive the resources and support they truly deserve.
