SSC CGL Syllabus
The SSC CGL syllabus and exam pattern for Combined Graduate Level Examination is set by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
With the help of the SSC CGL exam pattern and syllabus, candidates can make a strategy for the exam preparation systematically.
The exam consists of 4 sections having 100 questions in total. The total mark assigned for the Tier I exam is 200. The duration for the Tier I exam is 60 minutes (80 minutes for differently-abled candidates).
SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 1
- Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus: Quantitative Aptitude questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning Syllabus: This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.
- English: This section measures Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his/their basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested.
- General Awareness Syllabus: Questions in this section will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness (GK+GS) of the environment around them and its application to society.
SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 2
The Mains Exam will be conducted online and is an objective multiple-choice exam.
