Republic Day is a public holiday in India that falls on 26 January each year. It is the national day to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India on 26 January 1950. Republic Day on 26th January 1950 was right after that. The day when the people’s system of government was elected by the people for the people was inked in India. Our nation thus acquired the greatest constitution ever written. The historic moment that changed the rule of India was when it became a democratic government system. ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ, അധ്യാപകർ, എൻറെ പ്രിയ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾക്കും റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ദിനാശംസകൾ നേർന്നുകൊള്ളുന്നു.
ഇന്ന് നമ്മൾ 74-ാമത് റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ദിനം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. 1950 ജനുവരി 26നാണ് നമ്മുടെ ഇന്ത്യ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കായത്.
1947 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 15 ന് ഇന്ത്യക്ക് സ്വാതന്ത്യം ലഭിച്ചെങ്കിലും ഇതൊരു ഭരണഘടന ഇല്ലാത്ത രാജ്യം ആയിരുന്നു.
ഡോ. ബി ആർ അംബേദ്കർ (Dr. BR Ambedkar) അധ്യക്ഷനായിരുന്ന 7 സദസ്യരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഡ്രാഫ്റ്റിംഗ് കമ്മിറ്റിയിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണ് ഈ ഭരണഘടന.
ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ആദ്യമായി മതം, ജാതി, പ്രദേശം ഭാഷകളായി വിഭജിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഈ പ്രദേശം ഒരു പരമാധികാര രാഷ്ട്രമായി മാറി.
അവർ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുത്ത ഈ ഭരണഘടനയെ ഒരുപാട് ചർച്ചകൾ നടത്തിയും, തെറ്റുകൾ തിരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
തുടർന്ന്, 1949 നവംബർ 26 ന് ഭരണഘടന അസംബ്ലി ഡ്രാഫ്റ്റ് അംഗീകരിച്ചു. ഭരണഘടന ഒരു പുസ്തകം മാത്രമല്ല. ഭരണഘടനയാണ് രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പരമോന്നത നിയമം.
