The government of Karnataka has established a web portal called DBCDC for backward class people. Launched by Karnataka State government, D Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation, Government of Karnataka, help in the welfare of backward classes in the state.

The Corporation is extending financial assistance up to Rs.50,000/- per beneficiary for self-employment activities under business, service, and agricultural and allied activities. The amount includes 30% or a maximum of Rs.10,000/-subsidy and remaining is loan amount at 4% interest per annum.
