Here are the significant features and benefits of the AP YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme:
- The pension amount under the YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme will increase annually by Rs. 250. By the fourth year, the monthly pension will reach Rs. 3,000 as promised during the elections.
- The age requirement for the old age pension recipients has been reduced from 65 years to 60 years, as per the new order by the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development department.
- All eligible individuals, such as senior citizens, widows, weavers, toddy tappers, fishermen, single women, traditional cobblers, and people living with HIV, will receive a monthly pension of Rs. 2,250.
- Disabled individuals will now receive a monthly pension of Rs. 3,000. Previously, those with a disability degree of 40% to 79% received Rs. 2,000, while those with 80% or higher disability received Rs. 3,000.
- The pension amount for chronic kidney patients undergoing dialysis has been substantially raised from Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 10,000.
