Types of Ration Card
The Delhi Government issues different categories of Ration Cards to serve the needs of its population efficiently. The total population of Delhi has been classified into the following categories to ensure proper supply and distribution of essential food items and kerosene oil:
- Above Poverty Line (APL): These APL Cards (White Colour) are issued to families with a total income exceeding Rs 1,00,000 per annum.
- Below Poverty Line (BPL): This category is for families with an annual income below Rs 24,200.
- Antyodya Anna Yojana (AAY): This scheme supports households with a disabled adult and no reliable source of income, including landless labourers and widows.
- Annapurna Yojana (AY): Destitute individuals aged 65 years and above, without any income source and not benefiting from national or state pension schemes, can receive 10 Kg of food grains free every month.
