Bhumihin Form West Bengal - Summary
Agriculture is the backbone of the state’s economy. Nearly two-thirds of the population depends on farming and related work for their livelihood. Most farmers are small or marginal, and many agricultural workers do not own any land. They work on others’ farms and depend fully on daily farm wages to survive.
To support these landless agricultural workers and reduce their financial stress, the state government has launched a new welfare scheme. Under this scheme, eligible workers will receive ₹4,000 every year as direct financial help.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility)
- You are a permanent resident of the state
- You are a landless agricultural worker
- You do not own any farming land
- You are not covered under Krishak Bandhu (New) scheme
- You are not registered as a bargadar/sharecropper
- Your main income comes from farm labor work

- Aadhaar Card (mandatory)
- Voter ID Card (optional)
- Bank account in applicant’s name (normal savings account)
- Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Self-declaration form for landless worker
- Consent form for Aadhaar use
- One passport-size photo
