Gujarat Budget 2024-25 - Summary
Gujarat Finance Minister Kanu Desai is presenting the budget for the next fiscal year. In this budget, the state government for the upcoming year and provides a roadmap for the next 25 years, just before the budget presentation.
Gujarat finance minister Kanubhai Desai presented the Gujarat state budget of Rs 3.32 lakh crore for fiscal 2024-25.
Gujarat Budget Highlights 2024
- The Gujarat government will make 20,000 Anganwadis smart.
A total of Rs 55,114 crore has been provided - Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar metro route to be extended to Ahmedabad International Airport and inner areas of Gift City.
- New bus services to be introduced
- Bus stations to be modernized with the addition of 2000 new buses this year, next year ST.
- Rs 627 crore rupees have been provided for modernization of these centres
- Farmers will be given relaxation in high-speed diesel tax.
- Rs 463 crore has been allocated for the relief of fishermen.
- Rs 134 crore provided for the development of fisheries industry
- Area of Gift City, to be developed as a Green City, expanded from 900 to 3300 acre.
- ‘Walk to Work, Live and Play’ has been planned for the city along with 4.5 km long riverfront, recreation zone will also be developed.
- Gift City will be equipped with metro connectivity and Central Park facilities.
- Rs 52 crore announced for setting up ‘Fin-Tech’ in Gift City
- Rs 100 crore for riverfront development works
