Eligibility Criteria for Ujjwala 2.0 New Gas Connection
- Only women who have reached the age of 18 can apply.
- No other LPG connection should exist in the same household from any Oil Marketing Company (OMC).
- The adult woman applicant must belong to one of the following categories – SC, ST, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), Most Backward Classes (MBC), Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Tea and Ex-Tea Garden tribes, Forest Dwellers, People residing in Islands and River Islands, or those listed under SECC Households (AHL TIN) or identified as Poor Households as per the 14-point declaration.
Documents Required
- Know Your Customer (KYC) information.
- Aadhaar Card of the applicant as Proof of Identity and Proof of Address, if living at the same address as in Aadhaar (not required for Assam and Meghalaya).
- Ration Card issued by the State where the application is made, or other State Government documents certifying family composition, or a Self-Declaration as per Annexure I for migrant applicants.
- Aadhaar cards of the beneficiary and adult family members mentioned in the document from the previous step.
- Bank Account Number along with the IFSC code.
- Supplementary KYC to support the family’s status.
