UGC Fake University List 2020 - Summary
The University Grants Commission Act, 1956 under Section 22(1) provides that a degree can be awarded, only by University established under Central, State/Provincial Act or an Institution deemed to be university under Section of the UGC Act or an institution specially empowered by an Act of Parliament to confer the degree.
Further, Section 23 of the UGC Act prohibits the use of the word by any institution other a university established as stated above.
Many students do not know the fact about Indian Universities which is Fake and which is legal or genuine University having the proper approval of the University Grants Commission.
Many Universities are opening every month everywhere in India providing Distance Education and creating confusion in students “s minds that this University is fake or genuine.
