Among these, the most important exams are Group-1, 2, 3, as well as those for the Police and Revenue departments. Many aspirants are eager to secure these prestigious jobs. Telangana Schemes List in Telugu (తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వ సంక్షేమ పథకాలు)

Rythu Bandhu (‘రైతు బంధు’ పథకం)

This scheme, known as Rythu Bandhu, aims to enhance agricultural productivity and increase income for farmers. Launched during the 2018-19 Kharif season, it helps meet the initial investment needs of farmers. Under this initiative, farmers receive ₹5,000 per acre for purchasing seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor, and other inputs twice a year for Kharif (monsoon) and Rabi (winter) seasons. It is the first direct cash support initiative for farmers in India where the cash is paid directly.

Dhalitha Bandhu (దళిత బంధు)

The Telangana government launched the Dhalitha Bandhu scheme to address the issues faced by Dalits in the state. This one-time grant of ₹10,00,000 aims to provide financial security and hope for a better future. The scheme was formally initiated by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on August 16, 2021, in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.

Dharani (ధరణి)

The Telangana government has established the integrated land records management system called “Dharani.” This system merges land administration and registration services, operating as a single source for all land parcels. It efficiently handles all land-related tasks based on real-time actions and provides a GIS system for visual representation of land record data.

Kanti Velugu (కంటి వెలుగు)

Under the ‘Kanti Velugu’ scheme, the state government aims to achieve a “preventable blindness-free” status by conducting comprehensive and universal eye examinations for the entire population. This noble initiative began on August 15, 2018.

KCR Kit (కేసీఆర్ కిట్)

The KCR Kit scheme was launched to support pregnant women. Eligible women can access this scheme for up to two deliveries in government hospitals. The main goal is to provide everything necessary for pregnant women and newborns. Under this scheme, women receive ₹12,000 in three phases, along with additional support of ₹1,000 if a girl child is born. The kit includes baby oil, soaps for mother and child, mosquito nets, clothes, toys, diapers, powder, shampoo, sarees, towels, and napkins, and a baby bed.

Misson Kakatiya (మిషన్ కాకతీయ)

With an investment of ₹22,000 crores, the government aims to restore nearly 46,000 tanks to provide irrigation to approximately 25 lakh acres over five years. By February 2017, restoration work had started on around 20,000 tanks, with nearly 5,000 already completed. The government allocated ₹4,600 crores for this initiative in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 budgets, which includes activities like desilting, repairing damaged sluices and walls, and restoring tanks in ruin.

Misson Bhagiradha (మిషన్ భగీరథ)

The Mission Bhagiradha project aims to supply drinking water to urban and rural areas by laying pipelines across 1.30 lakh kilometers. This flagship program intends to ensure that no woman has to walk miles for water. Estimating a cost of ₹35,000 crores, the mission aims to provide purified piped water to every household in rural areas at an average of 100 liters per household per day, and 135 liters per day in municipalities.

Haritha Haaram (హరితహారం)

The Haritha Haaram initiative aims to increase the current 24% tree cover in Telangana to 33% of the state’s geographical area.

Kalyana Lakshmi (కల్యాణలక్ష్మి/ షాదీ ముబారక్)

To reduce financial burdens for SC/ST and minority families, the Telangana government grants ₹1,00,116 as financial assistance to brides at the time of marriage. This scheme, effective from October 2, 2014, targets those whose parents have an annual income not exceeding ₹2 lakhs.

Aarogy Lakshmi (ఆరోగ్య లక్ష్మి)

The Telangana government provides nutritious meals daily to pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children up to six years old through Anganwadi centers. Launched on January 1, 2015, this initiative supplies women with 200 ml of milk and one egg per day for 25 days a month. Children aged 7 months to 3 years receive a food packet of 2.5 kg, while those aged 3 to 6 receive rice, dal, vegetables, snacks, and one egg daily.

Aasara Pension (ఆసరా పింఛన్లు)

As part of its welfare measures, the Telangana government introduced the “Aasara” pension scheme to provide dignified living for the poor. This scheme primarily focuses on protecting the most vulnerable sections of society, such as the elderly, disabled, and widows, by offering monthly pensions to support their daily needs.

House for Poor (పేదలకు ఇళ్లు)

The Telangana government aims to provide quality and dignified housing for the poor through the “Houses for the Poor” initiative. This scheme includes providing 2 BHK flats in urban areas and independent houses in rural areas, with a pilot project launched in the IDH colony of Boiidguda, Secunderabad.

Land Distribution to Schedules (దళితులకు భూ పంపిణీ)

Another significant welfare scheme by the government provides 3 acres of agricultural land to landless SC women, ensuring their continuous livelihood. In the first year, ₹94 crores was spent to distribute 2,524 acres of land to 959 Dalits.

Rice Distribution (బియ్యం పంపిణీ)

Since January 1, 2015, approximately 87.57 lakh families have been eligible to receive 6 kg of rice per member at ₹1 per kg, with no family member limit. A total of 1.80 lakh metric tons of rice is required monthly for this scheme, costing ₹1,597 crore in subsidies. The income limit for BPL families is set at ₹1.50 lakhs in rural and ₹2 lakhs in urban areas.
