SSC Group D Cancel List 1911 - Summary
Calcutta High Court has directed the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) to cancel the appointments of 1,911 Group D employees in state-run schools. These employees secured their jobs through manipulation of their answer sheets during the recruitment examination held in 2016.
In the latest developments, the SSC is required to inform the names of the candidates whose appointments have been canceled. Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay has instructed the SSC to recruit eligible candidates from the waiting list to fill these vacant posts by March 6. He emphasized that OMR sheet manipulation occurred during the term of former SSC chairman Subires Bhattacharyya, who was arrested by CBI on September 19 last year. Justice Gangopadhyay instructed him to reveal who gave the orders for this illegal act. If Bhattacharyya fails to disclose this information, he could be barred from using his educational qualifications until he proves his innocence.

বিচারপতি অভিজিৎ গঙ্গোপাধ্যায় গত বৃহস্পতিবার মামলার শুনানিতে স্কুল সার্ভিস কমিশনকে এই অযোগ্য প্রার্থীদের চাকরি বাতিলের জন্য ২৪ ঘণ্টা সময় দেন। সেইমতো শুক্রবার স্কুল সার্ভিস কমিশন এই ১৯১১ জনের বরখাস্তের প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করে। তবে আইন অনুযায়ী এদের বরখাস্ত করার কাজটি সারতে হবে মধ্যশিক্ষা পর্ষদকে।
এই ১৯১১ জন গ্রুপ ডি কর্মী বরখাস্ত হওয়ার পাশাপাশি তাদের শূন্যস্থান পূরণের প্রক্রিয়া নিয়েও সুস্পষ্ট নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন বিচারপতি অভিজিৎ গঙ্গোপাধ্যায়। তিনি জানিয়েছেন গ্রুপ ডি এর ওয়েটিং লিস্টে যারা আছে তাদের মধ্যে থেকেই এই শূন্যস্থান পূরণ করতে হবে।
