Quran is the Holy book of Muslims. Allah Almighty divided the Holy Quran into 30 Paras. The division is made to make it easy for Muslims to read and learn Quran by heart. There are 114 Surahs in the Holy Quran. Further, the Quran is divided into Ayats and Rukus. The first Para or Juz of the Quran is Alif-laam-meem(آلم ) which has 2 Surahs the first one is Surah Al-Fatiha and another one is Al-Baqarah. 2. The second Para or Juz of the Quran is Sayaqūlu (سَيَقُولُ) which has only 1 Surah that is Surah Al-Baqarah.

The Juz or Para is the division of the Quran into thirty parts that are varying in length. The most memorized Juz or Para of the Quran is Juz number 30 because it consists of Surahs which are short in length so they are easy to learn and remember. During the time period of the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) the Quran was only divided on the basis of Surahs. The division of the Quran on the basis of para or Juz was introduced by Caliph Umar ibn Khattab.
