Post Office Money Order Form - Summary
A money order is an order issued by the Post Office for the payment of a sum of money to the person whose name the money order is sent through the agency of the Post Office. A ‘Payee’ is the person named in the money order as the person to whom the money is to be paid. You can send up to $1,000 in a single order anywhere in the United States.
The U.S. Post Office charges a reasonable $1.25 for money orders up to $500, or $1.70 up to $1,000. Finally, Western Union doesn’t have a set fee, but you may pay up to $1 for money orders up to $1,000
